Evan M. Janush represents clients in pharmaceutical and product liability mass tort actions, significant individual personal injury claims, complex commercial and class-action litigation, and plaintiffs' employment cases involving discrimination and whistleblower actions. He has represented the rights of individuals who have been injured by defective products, asbestos and general negligence, as well as individuals and corporations involved in commercial litigation and arbitrations concerning unfair competition, breach of contract, antitrust and entertainment industry disputes. Mr. Janush's work has involved significant appeals, legal motions and oral arguments that have supported trial verdicts in excess of $450 million as well as numerous multi-million-dollar settlements.
Mr. Janush is a 1998 graduate of Yeshiva University, Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he was a member of the Law Review and President of the Student Bar Association. He received his undergraduate degree with high honors in 1995 from the University of Connecticut where he was the President of the Student Government Association at the Stamford campus. Prior to joining The Lanier Law Firm, Mr. Janush practiced law at the firms of Weitz & Luxenberg and Jenkens & Gilchrist Parker Chapin.
Mr. Janush is licensed to practice law in New York and Connecticut. He is a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice (formerly ATLA).
Mr. Janush currently resides in Briarcliff Manor, New York, with his wife, Debra, and their three daughters, Emily, Haley and Tory.
