Lindsey Cheek joined the Lanier Law Firm in 2010 and she currently assists and represents those who have suffered toxic tort and asbestos related injuries. Her education and background combine to allow for her to understand all sides of a particular case and most importantly the needs of her clients.
Ms. Cheek earned her B.B.A. from the University of Houston where she graduated Cum Laude with a double major in Marketing and Management. She then graduated from South Texas College of Law in 2009 and was admitted to the Texas Bar that same year.
In law school she was the recipient of the Hortense Ward Outstanding Female Graduate Award for her work with the Student Bar Association and various charitable organizations. She further participated in the mock trial program and mentored 1L students. She also participated in the college's international program by spending a summer studying at the University of Malta in Malta.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Cheek clerked, for three years, at the Harris County District Attorney's Office. This allowed Ms. Cheek to hone her skills by working with prosecutors in representing the State of Texas, on many varied types of cases.
Ms. Cheek is a member of the American Bar Association, Association of Women Attorneys and the State Bar of Texas. She is licensed to practice in Texas, Louisiana and the Northern District of Texas.
Ms. Cheek has competed in the Lone Star Triathlon and Houston Half Marathon. She enjoys exercising, cooking, traveling and spending time with her 2 dogs, Fergie and Bilbo.
