W. Casey Harris is an associate with The Lanier Law Firm. He devotes his entire practice to litigation, representing plaintiffs in the areas of personal injury, products liability, toxic torts, premises liability, wrongful death and asbestos litigation.
Mr. Harris is a native of Fred, Texas, where most of his family members worked in oil refineries, chemical plants, shipyards and paper mills. Because of his background, Mr. Harris has a tremendous amount of compassion for the injured clients that he represents. He is able to relate equally to the Texas rancher, the oil field worker or a company executive and understand their needs. He attended Texas A&M University, where he received his undergraduate degree in 1995. He graduated from South Texas College of Law in Houston and was admitted to practice law in Texas in 1999. He maintains his collegiate ties as a member of the Texas A&M Association of Former Students, the 12th Man Foundation and the Texas Aggie Bar Association. Mr. Harris enjoys coaching youth sports and actively volunteers at his children's schools.
Mr. Harris is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Texas Trial Lawyers Association, Christian Trial Lawyers Association, American Association for Justice and Houston Bar Association. Mr. Harris served as the Tyler County Bar Association President from 2000 to 2002. He also served on the Texas Bar Journal Editorial Board for one year. Mr. Harris initially practiced law for three years in East Texas where he tried numerous cases that resulted in significant verdicts for his clients.
Mr. Harris and his wife, Lucia, have two sons, Weston and Benjamin.
