On March 10, 2008, the staff of The Lanier Law Firm participated in our first Children of Bellevue community service project. We arrived shortly after lunch and were greeted by staff members in the main lobby of Bellevue Hospital. After a brief orientation, we visited the pediatric ward where we met with other hospital staff and worked with several children to create puppets as part of their arts & crafts activities.
After the puppet-making, we enjoyed visiting with the children and playing video games, board games and air hockey in another area of the hospital. By all accounts, the children and everyone from the firm had a wonderful day filled with imagination and fun.
After the activities, we toured the hospital and found our favorite spot: the reading areas located on the second floor where children have stories read to them while waiting to see their doctors. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed working together as a team. We’re currently looking forward to our next project with the Children of Bellevue.
