The Lanier Law Firm Announces Huge Expansion in Houston; Asbestos Expertise Grows with Addition of Six Attorneys, New Office Space

HOUSTON – The Lanier Law Firm is announcing a huge expansion in Houston, including the addition of six new attorneys in the firm’s Asbestos Litigation Group and an additional 14,000 square feet of office space to help meet the increasing demand in cases involving exposure to asbestos and other toxic substances.

Respected asbestos litigators M. Clay Fostel, formerly of Houston’s Heard Robins Cloud Black & Lubel, and William H. Barfield, previously with Houston’s Smith & Hassler, are joining the firm along with C. Jason Lindamood, formerly an assistant district attorney for Wharton County; Benjamin Pyle, formerly with Houston’s RAS Inc.; and recent South Texas College of Law graduates Matthew McFarlane and Lauren Ware.

The new additions in the firm’s Asbestos Litigation Group will work from the firm’s new office space at 14340 Torrey Chase Blvd., Suite 410, Houston 77014.

“We have made a substantial commitment to growing our asbestos practice by adding a talented group of asbestos attorneys and taking on more than 14,000 feet of new office space,” says Mark Lanier, founder of The Lanier Law Firm and leader of the Asbestos Litigation Group. “The terrible legacy of asbestos exposure continues to impact thousands of families every year, and we want people to know that they have a strong advocate at The Lanier Law Firm in every type of asbestos claim.”

With the latest additions, The Lanier Law Firm is now home to 40 skilled attorneys, including 20 who practice in the firm’s Asbestos Litigation Group.

Mr. Lanier says the firm made the decision to expand its Asbestos Litigation Group after careful consideration of market conditions and the current legal climate.

“Many firms have scaled back their work in asbestos litigation over the past few years or abandoned those cases entirely, but the simple fact is that there are many, many more people suffering from asbestos exposure who need quality representation,” Mr. Lanier says.  “The companies that caused workers and their families to be exposed to asbestos should be held accountable, and our lawyers will not rest until our clients get their day in court.”

With offices in Los Angeles, Palo Alto, Houston and New York, The Lanier Law Firm is committed to addressing client concerns with effective and innovative solutions in courtrooms across the country. The firm is composed of outstanding trial attorneys with decades of experience handling cases involving pharmaceutical liability, asbestos exposure, intellectual property, business litigation, product liability, toxic exposure and maritime law.
