The Lanier Law Firm Opens IP-Focused Office in Palo Alto, Calif.

The firm also has added accomplished intellectual property attorney Christopher Banys to lead the new office. This marks the firm's second expansion into California, following the opening of a Los Angeles office in late 2007.
The Palo Alto office will focus on the firm's growing intellectual property practice. Combining excellent litigation skills with in-depth subject-matter knowledge, the firm's Intellectual Property Litigation Group represents clients in disputes involving patent infringement, trademark and copyright violations, unlawful use of trade secrets and other areas of patent law.

Mr. Banys comes to the firm from Palo Alto-based Howrey LLP. His practice is focused on intellectual property litigation, including patent, copyright and trade secret actions. Mr. Banys earned his J.D. from Boston University, and spent his final semester of law school at Oxford University in England, studying comparative intellectual property law. He earned his undergraduate degree, with high honors, from the University of California-Berkeley.
