Top Texas Personal Injury Lawyer

Mark Lanier Recognized as Texas' Top Personal Injury Lawyer In Statewide Poll Published in Texas Lawyer Newspaper

HOUSTON - Mark Lanier, founder of Houston's The Lanier Law Firm, has been recognized in Texas Lawyer newspaper as the state's top personal injury attorney. Mr. Lanier is included in the "Go-To Guide," a special publication distributed with the Oct. 8, 2007 issue of Texas Lawyer.

In the "Go-To Guide," Texas Lawyer chose the top five lawyers in 29 practice areas from a pool of more than 70,000 Texas lawyers. The top five attorneys in each category were honored as "Texas' Top-Notch Lawyers," with one attorney per practice area earning the "Go-To" recognition.

This marks the second consecutive time Mr. Lanier has been selected for Texas Lawyer's listing of the state's top attorneys. He also was recognized as one of the top five personal injury attorneys in the first "Go-To Guide," published in 2002.

To compile the list of the state's top legal practitioners, Texas Lawyer accepted nominations, conducted independent research and interviewed hundreds of lawyers across the state, asking attorneys who they would turn to for representation in a particular practice area.

"It is incredibly humbling to be chosen for this honor," say Mr. Lanier. 'With all the great trial lawyers in this state, I am extremely gratified that other lawyers put me at the top of their list."

In the profile published in the "Go-To Guide," Mr. Lanier's early experiences defending companies is credited as a driving force for him moving to the plaintiff's bar. He decided to make the move after losing his first case, one he thought should have settled. Mr. Lanier says in the profile that if he had won that case, then "the outcome wouldn't have been right."

With offices in Houston, New York and Los Angeles, The Lanier Law Firm is committed to addressing client concerns with effective and often innovative solutions. The firm is composed of outstanding trial attorneys with decades of experience handling cases involving pharmaceutical liability, asbestos exposure, business fraud, serious personal injuries, product liability, and toxic exposure.
