News : Tort Law Reform Hurts Texas Families, Small Businesses

Listen up!! Part Two of Terry Lowry's interview with our own Jack White as he discusses the Loser Pays in the current legislative session.

In Texas, the concept of "open courts" is firmly placed in our constitution. Lobbyists for Big Business and Big Insurance Companies convinced Governor Perry to push a 'one-sided loser pays' tort reform bill through the Texas House. This concept will harm Texas families and small businesses. It also serves as a convenient deterrent from Texas' budget crisis.

The Lanier Law Firm's own Jack White weighs in on this issue. He earned his law degree from Pepperdine University and while at the United States Military Academy, was awarded West Point Cadet of the Year in 1992. He clerked for Justice Samuel A. Alito, Jr. on the U.S. Supreme Court. We are urging everyone to contact their Texas State Senator and urge them to vote NO on the “Loser Pays” Bill. Call the switchboard at the Texas Capital at 512.463.4630 and urge all your friends to call, also.
