Sports and Entertainment Law

The Lanier Law Firm is proud to be at the forefront of representing clients involved in the Sports and Entertainment industry. The practice group leader out of our New York office is Evan Janush, and Lee Cirsch, from the Los Angeles office. Both are as zealous, devoted, and focused as the athletes they represent. Our Sports and Entertainment Law attorneys are often sought out as national speakers on the numerous subjects pertaining to Sports and Entertainment litigation as well as safety issues.

As sports law becomes a larger element of entertainment law, The Lanier Law Firm offers its litigation expertise to clients who are in this dynamic profession. We provide counsel and representation on numerous issues arising in any context of sports-related litigation.

The Lanier Law Firm provides clients with vast experience in sports and entertainment law matters, including serving as lead counsel in the precedent-setting case involving Rice University student-athlete Dale Lloyd, who died following a spring practice after university officials failed to provide adequate testing for the sickle cell trait. As a result of the historic settlement negotiated by The Lanier Law Firm, the NCAA now requires member schools to test all incoming freshmen student-athletes for the trait that identifies sickle cell anemia. This policy change will save countless lives for many years to come.

Further, the Lanier Law Firm has partnered with acclaimed NFL player advocates ETL Associates, Inc., and their president Eugene T. Lee, to lend additional support to its sports and entertainment law practice.
