ATTORNEY SPOTLIGHT – Jason S. Goldstein

Each month, we like to feature one of our attorneys to help you get to know our team better. We recently sat down with attorney Jason S. Goldstein to talk about his background in the legal field and what he is currently working on.

What led you to a legal career?

After college, I thought about a career in the entertainment industry. I soon realized it was not for me. I was 25 and needed to reset. In the back of my mind, I always thought about becoming a lawyer. I enjoyed writing and debating and thought it would be a great career path. I was accepted into my first-choice school, Cardozo Law, and matriculated 10 days later. I never looked back.

What has been your most interesting or memorable case, and why?

Alicea et al v. DePuy Orthopaedics was my most interesting case. It was the first time I observed Mark Lanier trying a case from start to finish. Additionally, as a member of the trial team, I had the chance to actively participate in the pre-trial discovery process. I also had the opportunity to work with the issues and appeals group. It truly was a multidimensional experience that I will never forget.

What litigation are you currently working on?

Right now, I am primarily overseeing all our metal-on-metal hip litigations with an emphasis on the DePuy Pinnacle litigation. I also have been given the opportunity to work on Talc, Opioids and transvaginal mesh litigations.

What are one or two things about you that most people don’t know?

Prior to entering law school, I worked in advertising sales at iHeartMedia (formerly Clear Channel) and represented some of the largest radio stations in the country.
