Mark Lanier, Rick Meadow Selected to Lawdragon’s 500 Leading Lawyers in America

HOUSTON – Acclaimed trial lawyers Mark Lanier and Rick Meadow of The Lanier Law Firm have been selected to the prestigious Lawdragon 500 list of the top lawyers in the United States.

The 2017 edition marks the fifth time Mr. Lanier has been recognized by Lawdragon. It is Mr. Meadow’s first appearance. The Lawdragon 500 is compiled from a combination of written nominations, online submissions and independent research by the organization’s editorial team, with less than 1 percent of practicing attorneys singled out for inclusion.

This is just the latest honor for Mr. Lanier, who has been recognized by The National Law Journal on its list of the Most Influential Attorneys of the Decade and by Texas Lawyer on its list of the 25 Greatest Lawyers of the Past Quarter Century. He was named the 2016 Trial Lawyer of the Year by The National Trial Lawyers and inducted into the Trial Lawyer Hall of Fame in 2017, among many other recent honors.

Mr. Meadow is the National Mass Tort Leader for The Lanier Law Firm, where his responsibilities include overseeing the firm’s pharmaceutical mass tort litigation. He has played a lead role in high-stakes, high-profile litigation, including cases involving dangerous pharmaceutical drugs, defective medical devices and consumer products, asbestos exposure and medical malpractice.

In 2016, the Lanier Law Firm won two high-profile verdicts in medical device litigation, with the awards totaling more than $1.5 billion. The firm was named one of the nation’s 25 Most Influential Law Firms for 2017 by The National Trial Lawyers. The firm was also recognized by U.S. News/Best Lawyers as a National Tier 1 practice in Mass Torts and Class Actions.

With offices in Houston, New York and Los Angeles, The Lanier Law Firm is committed to addressing client concerns with effective and innovative solutions in courtrooms across the country. The firm is composed of outstanding trial attorneys with decades of experience handling cases involving pharmaceutical liability, asbestos exposure, commercial litigation, product liability, maritime law, and sports and entertainment law.
