The Lanier Law Firm Discusses Student Athletes’ Rights in Houston Chronicle

The Lanier Law Firm’s was recently featured in an article in the Houston Chronicle.  The article focuses on the controversy and impending lawsuits surrounding student-athletes’ scholarships and other financial benefits from athletic programs.

The Lanier Law Firm discussed the NCAA’s actions as the debate continues over students’ rights to compensation for the wealth they produce for universities and the NCAA. “The NCAA has only one concern: its survival,” a Lanier Law Firm attorney said. “Thus, the proposed catering to the major conferences in the hopes it will entice them to stay. I believe it will ultimately fail and we will see mass defection within a few short years.”
