HOUSTON — Three attorneys from the Houston office of The Lanier Law Firm — Dara Hegar, Alex J. Brown and Patrick O’Hara — have been named to the 2012 Texas Rising Stars list of the state’s top young lawyers.
Ms. Hegar and Mr. Brown have made multiple appearances on the list, which recognizes the best attorneys in Texas age 40 or under. Mr. O’Hara is a first-time honoree.
“Dara, Alex and Patrick represent the future of this firm, and have played a key role in our success,” says firm founder Mark Lanier. “They truly exemplify the excellence and expertise of each and every person here.”
This year’s Texas Rising Stars list appears in the May 2012 issues of Texas Monthly magazine and Texas Rising Stars magazine.
Each year, researchers with Thomson Reuters’ legal division solicit nominations from attorneys across Texas, asking them to identify the best practicing attorneys age 40 or younger, and those who have been practicing for 10 years or fewer. Fewer than 2.5 percent of all Texas lawyers earn the Texas Rising Stars distinction.
Ms. Hegar, managing attorney in the Lanier firm’s Houston office, represents clients in each of the firm’s practice areas with a focus on trial coordination in complex litigation matters. She has been named to the Texas Rising Stars list six times.
Mr. Brown is an experienced litigator in federal and state courts at both the trial and appellate levels, in addition to representing clients in domestic and international arbitration forums. This is also his sixth selection to the Texas Rising Stars list.
Mr. O’Hara represents clients in a wide variety of civil litigation matters, including maintaining a leading role in the firm’s Asbestos and Toxic Exposure practice group.
With offices in Houston, Los Angeles, and New York, The Lanier Law Firm is committed to addressing client concerns with effective and innovative solutions in courtrooms across the country. The firm is composed of outstanding trial attorneys with decades of experience handling cases involving pharmaceutical liability, asbestos exposure, intellectual property, business litigation, product liability, maritime law, bad faith insurance claims and sports and entertainment law.
