HOUSTON – The Lanier Law Firm once again has earned selection as one of the nation’s best law firms in the annual survey published by U.S. News & World Report and The Best Lawyers in America.

The firm is ranked in the 2019 “Best Law Firms” edition as a National Tier 1 practice in the area of Mass Tort Litigation/Class Actions-Plaintiffs.

The firm’s Houston office is individually ranked in the areas of Appellate Practice, Commercial Litigation, Mass Tort Litigation/ Class Actions-Plaintiffs, Personal Injury Litigation-Plaintiffs and Product Liability Litigation-Plaintiffs. The firm’s New York City office is also recognized by “Best Law Firms” in the area of Personal Injury Litigation-Plaintiffs.

To compile the Best Law Firms guide, researchers from U.S. News and Best Lawyers surveyed thousands of law firm clients. The final results are published in the Best Law Firms publication, and available online at

Earlier this year, eight attorneys from the firm were named among the best in the nation in the 2018 edition of The Best Lawyers in America.

In July, Mr. Lanier and a team of the firm’s attorneys secured a $4.69 billion verdict on behalf of 22 women who developed ovarian cancer as a result of longtime use of asbestos-laced talcum powder made by Johnson & Johnson.

That verdict, one of the largest in plaintiffs’ personal injury history, follows the firm’s success in three product liability verdicts during the past two years against J&J and its Pinnacle division. Those federal jury verdicts, totaling almost $2 billion, were based on the claims of multiple plaintiffs who suffered serious medical complications caused by the company’s defective hip implant devices.

The Lanier Law Firm has offices in Houston, New York, Los Angeles and Oklahoma City. For close to 30 years, the firm has worked tirelessly to find unique solutions to its clients’ unique needs. The firm is composed of more than 60 skilled attorneys, practicing in a broad array of areas, including business fraud, asbestos exposure, personal injury, commercial litigation, and others. Visit
