The Lanier
Law Firm negotiated a settlement for the family of a former Rice University
student-athlete in a lawsuit against the National Collegiate Athletic
Association (NCAA) that will help save college athletes’ lives for years
to come.
In the April 2009 edition of the New England Journal of Medicine, the
executive editor, managing editor and editor-in-chief of the highly
regarded medical publication joined together to write an editorial that
calls for Congress to allow lawsuits against medical device
manufacturers. The attorneys at The Lanier Law Firm are supporting
this effort to insure that medical device manufacturers are held to the
same standards as the companies that make pharmaceutical drugs.
Evenflo Company Inc. of Miamisburg, Ohio, has issued an expanded recall
for Evenflo Majestic™ high chairs manufactured between January 2007 and
December 2008. More than 600,000 of these chairs were sold in popular
retail stores like Target and Wal-Mart.
The Lanier Law Firm is announcing a huge expansion in
