HOUSTON - Dara Grisbee Hegar, an associate at The Lanier Law Firm in Houston, has earned a spot among the 2007 Texas Rising Stars.
Super Lawyers Rising Stars selections are based on nominations made by attorneys appearing on the prestigious Texas Super Lawyer list. The designation is reserved for the top up-and-coming Texas attorneys who are 40 or younger or have been in practice fewer than 10 years.
"Dara brings exceptional legal skills and unwavering commitment to our clients," says Mark Lanier, founder of The Lanier Law Firm and a Texas Super Lawyer. "This is a well-deserved honor, and we could not be more proud to have her on our team."
This year's list appears in the April issue of Texas Monthly, as well as Texas Rising Stars, a magazine co-produced by the publishers of Texas Monthly and Law & Politics Media, Inc.
Mrs. Hegar's primary focus is the trial coordination of the firm's complex litigation, where she has supported many of the firm's multimillion-dollar trial verdicts and settlements. She also works with the firm's corporate clients and in the resolution of high-stakes commercial disputes. She earned her bachelors degree from Texas A&M University, and holds both a Masters in International Relations and law degree from St. Mary's University.
With offices in Houston and New York, The Lanier Law Firm is committed to addressing client concerns with effective and often untraditional solutions. The firm is composed of outstanding trial attorneys with decades of experience handling cases involving pharmaceutical liability, asbestos exposure, business litigation, product liability, toxic exposure and maritime law.
