Two From The Lanier Law Firm Recognized Among Texas’ Top Young Attorneys

HOUSTON – Attorneys Angela Barmby Greenberg and Dara Grisbee Hegar, associates in the Houston office of The Lanier Law Firm, are featured in the 2009 Texas Rising Stars listing of the state’s top young lawyers. This marks the fourth consecutive year Ms. Hegar has earned the distinction, and the third for Ms. Greenberg.

Rising Stars selections recognize the top Texas attorneys who are 40 years of age or younger, and those who have been practicing law fewer than 10 years. Selections are based on nominations made by attorneys previously honored on the Texas Super Lawyers listing.

Ms. Greenberg is highlighted for her work in plaintiff’s personal injury litigation. Her practice is focused in the areas of areas of toxic torts, asbestos-related injuries and personal injury. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Kansas, and earned her law degree from the University of Tulsa College of Law.

Ms. Hegar earned her spot on the Rising Stars list based on her work in general litigation matters for a wide variety of clients. Her primary focus is the trial coordination of the firm's complex litigation, where she has supported many of the firm's multimillion-dollar verdicts and settlements. She also works with the firm's corporate clients involved in high-stakes commercial disputes. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University before earning her law degree from St. Mary’s University, where she also earned a Masters in International Relations.

This year’s Rising Stars listing appears in the April 2009 issues of Texas Monthly magazine and Texas Rising Stars, an annual publication from Law & Politics Media Inc.
