Gina Kim

Gina Kim is a New York City mesothelioma lawyer at The Lanier Law Firm. Gina represents clients in asbestos exposure litigation, with a focus on discovery, legal research, and motion practice.

Gina’s work includes matters on behalf of mesothelioma and lung cancer clients who suffered from direct or secondhand exposure to asbestos throughout their occupational history or personal usage of talcum powder products. Much of her discovery, research, and briefing practice involves tracing decades of a client’s product exposure across the complicated corporate histories of successor defendants and transferred product lines and analyzing complex and emerging legal issues to build strong, strategic arguments on behalf of her clients.

Gina’s research and briefing underpin the trial team’s motion practice, and she is regularly assigned the firm’s substantive briefs on personal jurisdiction disputes and on defeating summary judgment motions, arguing successfully that her clients’ evidence warrants their case to be heard by a jury.

Gina received her Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law where she served as an Associate Editor for the Fordham Law Review and was a Stein Scholar in Public Interest Law and Ethics. As a law student, she interned at the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, the Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund, and Queens Legal Services.

Gina lives in Jersey City with her husband. She enjoys traveling, cooking, running, and practicing Pilates.
