Megan Waida

Megan Waida joined the Asbestos and Mesothelioma Litigation Issues and Appeals section of The Lanier Law Firm in 2012 as a well-seasoned mesothelioma attorney in Houston, advocating on behalf of the victims of asbestos exposure with experience in other well-recognized plaintiffs’ firms. Megan currently works in the Issues and Appeals section on a variety of issues, including but not limited to asbestos litigation.

Megan prides herself on being a fast, efficient worker with a broad command of different states’ laws. Her experience with cases across multiple jurisdictions gives her a sharp instinct for identifying what truly needs to be addressed in each motion. Megan can often pick up a motion with little guidance and immediately recognize where it needs to go.

Megan is a native Texan, born and raised in Victoria. She graduated from Texas Tech University in Lubbock in 2002, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and minors in Chemistry and Marketing. While at Tech, Megan was a member of Beta, Beta, Beta National Biological Honor Society; Rho Lambda, a national leadership recognition society for sorority women; and Order of Omega, a national Greek leadership honor society. She earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law, graduating in the top fifteen percent of her class and earning numerous honors including the Highest Grade Award for Legal Research and Writing II and multiple appointments to the Dean’s Honor List. At South Texas, Megan was also a member of Phi Delta Phi, an international legal honors fraternity and the Texas Tech Law Society.

Megan calls Tomball, Texas home where she lives with her two children Magdalene and Davyn. Megan enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and, when time and life permits, a leisurely read of a good book.
