Asbestos Exposure in Plant Workers

Plant workers were also one of the main occupations that were known to have been exposed to asbestos throughout the 20th century. Whether you worked at a steel plant or you worked in a plastic manufacturing business or worked at a power plant, whatever it was, these manufacturing businesses really again like going back to the oil refineries endured high heat, high pressure systems, and so asbestos was all throughout these plants and even if you weren’t working directly hands on with asbestos containing products like insulation, gaskets, valves, you name it, odds of you coming in contact with those who were are very high. A good example of that is cases that we’ve had involving even people in management. would have some type of inspection responsibilities and would go into the plant or onto the floor to do inspections on a daily basis, so you typically don’t think of a person in management as being, you know, susceptible to asbestos exposure, but frequently they would have to go in and do their daily inspections and and those could sometimes take 30 minutes to an hour, and so they on a daily basis were also exposed.
