




Personal Background
Alex Abston is a Senior Attorney who focuses on complex litigation disputes within the Firm’s Business Litigation practice group.
Alex’s trial advocacy foundation shapes her strategic approach to dispute resolution. Most recently, Alex spent years as a member of the Firm’s trial team assisting with high-stakes mass tort cases. Her work was instrumental in securing many notable Lanier jury trial verdicts, including one of the nation’s first federal jury verdicts in MDL 2804, In re: National Prescription Opiate Litigation.
Her tenure with the Firm spans 15 years, beginning with a high school internship and evolving to include time within all the Firm’s various practice groups. Her diverse practice has included litigation relating to products liability, deceptive trade practices, asbestos exposure, antitrust violations, and the pharmaceutical industry. Previously, she clerked at a prominent complex litigation firm where she concentrated on products liability and civil sexual abuse litigation.
Alex is a native Texan and devoted Houston sports fan who loves spending time with her family and golden retrievers.

- Member of the trial team who obtained a federal jury verdict against a prominent national railroad on behalf of plaintiffs impacted by the Libby, Montana asbestos disaster.
- Assisted in representing hundreds of former coal miners in consolidated actions against disposable mask manufacturers.
- Represented both companies and individuals in complex matters within federal and state courts.
- Member of the trial team who represented thousands of EpiPen class action purchasers in a federal antitrust class action alleging manufacturers’ anticompetitive conduct and practices.
- Assisted in representing plaintiffs and their families in asbestos‐related suits stemming from the use of talcum powder products.
- Member of the trial team representing 17 states and territories in a multistate lawsuit alleging deceptive trade practices and antitrust violations in the advertising technology industry.
