The JCCP ChatGPT Product Liability litigation currently includes 19 coordinated lawsuits, with additional cases that may be added as the proceeding moves forward. The litigation involves allegations that AI chatbot technology, including the GPT-4o model, caused harm by failing to provide appropriate safeguards for users experiencing mental health crises. The cases include claims related to product liability, failure to warn, and wrongful death.
