Asbestos Trust Fund Misconceptions: Debunking TV Advertising Myths

Video transcript:

I think a common misconception probably comes from advertising on television, if I’m being fair. Advertising that promises $30 billion in trust money that appears almost like an ATM. It can set an expectation in a place that’s higher than reality.

I tend to be very reality-focused. I sort of tell it how it is. And I think with clients, their misconception that they sign up and we give them a check tomorrow because of these asbestos trust funds that are doling out money left and right is something that we have to talk to our clients about occasionally.

People are smart, and I think generally people know that if something seems too good to be true, that it probably is. But that’s not to say that there aren’t billions of dollars out there for people who are exposed to asbestos products through asbestos trust product ID. I mean, there are. And so, we do our best to get as much money as possible for our clients as fast as possible.
