The Lanier Law Firm is lead trial counsel on a litigation against Google that we filed about five years ago regarding antitrust violations and deceptive trade practice relating to how they run ads and how they’re deceptive and controlling the side of the platform that represents companies, the side of the platform that represents advertisers, and then the actual exchange in the middle.
So, we’re waiting on a federal court in DC to rule on that before our Texas action can continue to go. But the fears that we had and the complaints that we laid out years ago have all come true. And that Google has been deceptively accumulating information that they would use someday to fuel their AI. And they’re doing just that with Gemini. And so whether Google has already been found liable for having antitrust violations, which the Department of Justice received a trial victory on based on the lawsuit we filed in Texas back in 2020.
We’ve had other jurisdictions whether in Europe also reach the same conclusion and judges in New York based on kind of the groundbreaking lawsuit that we filed. And so pretty soon we’ll know if we’re going to go to trial on both antitrust violations and deceptive trade practice violations or maybe we’ll just do one of them and get two separate trials.
