Personal Injury and Product Liability

My name is Judd Waltman. I’m the managing attorney for personal injury, product liability, and maritime at the Lanier Law Firm in Houston. We represent folks who have been injured or families of people who’ve unfortunately been killed. I became an attorney out of a sense I’ve had my whole life long of kind of right and wrong. I always had a passion for the underdog, an idea that I wanted to live in a just society where everyone had a fair shake and personal injury law just fell right into that category. I get a chance to help people and I get a chance to fight for someone who may be a bit of an underdog and make sure we are all on a level playing field, and the fact that I get to do that every day and with people that I love and respect and enjoy being around makes us the best job in the world. My name is Larry Wilson and I’m an attorney on our general tort team here at the Lanier Law Firm, and General Tort, we generally would handle negligence cases of all types of personal injury, also product liability and various maritime matters. My role here in that capacity is to take cases from beginning to end, all the way through trial, and so I do all aspects of litigation. With regard to why I became an attorney, for me, it was as simple as I knew from a fairly young age that I really enjoyed speaking, and I also discovered that I enjoyed trying to convince people of things, and so when it came to trying to pick out a job, I thought, well, law seems like a good one, and so I did it. And so my reasons for becoming a lawyer maybe weren’t that noble, but certainly as I’ve come here, I’ve learned the great value there is to society of being an attorney.
