So when a veteran comes in to our office and they have meso, one of the questions that they have is what their compensation options are, and there’s really 3 main routes that we look at, and oftentimes they’re pursued simultaneously. One is filing a claim with their VA if their exposure was a result of their military experience, and the VA will actually presume with certain trades and occupations that their exposure was a result of their military service. And so if you were an airman or you were a machinist’s mate, you name it, they presume that your exposure was a result of your service.
And so one of the benefits of filing a VA claim is that you can be entitled to compensation, but also your families, if a loved one has passed away, families can also have a claim for compensation as well. And lastly, they can receive health care through the VA. So that’s another great benefit.
