Logging Accident Case Story: Justice for a Worker With a Crush Injury

I was involved with part of the team that handled a logging injury case. This happened in East Texas where they do have, you know, they call it the Piney Woods, so you do have logging operations there, and this one happened in one of the mills, and it was just a matter of we were able to show that the company had not followed its own operating procedures. The worker was not properly trained. He suffered a severe crush injury to his head. Luckily, he did survive, but he did suffer a crush injury. But again, you pursued that, of course, in the same way that we would pursue any personal injury case. But just know the logging industry is a dangerous industry too, and those workers are susceptible to very serious injuries.
