Daniel Bedell is an associate in the Palo Alto office of The Lanier Law Firm. Mr. Bedell's practice focuses on high-stakes intellectual property disputes. He joined the firm in 2008 after two years in the intellectual property practice group of a prominent national firm.Before practicing law, Mr. Bedell spent seven years as a development engineer at IBM and Hitachi Global Storage Technologies, where he developed designs and processes for next-generation microelectronics and thin-film disk drive heads. Mr. Bedell is an inventor on multiple patents and patent applications in the area of thin-film head design and manufacturing.
Mr. Bedell earned his law degree after graduating cum laude from the Santa Clara School of Law. Prior to law school, he earned a degree in chemical engineering after graduating cum laude from Brigham Young University.
Mr. Bedell is a registered patent attorney with the USPTO and is admitted to practice in California State Courts and U.S. District Courts for the Northern District of California, Eastern District of California, and Eastern District of Texas.
