Mr. Gadoury has handled all aspects of trials and appeals of complex business litigation, as well as white collar criminal defense matters, including shareholder derivative litigation, fraud, including securities and bank fraud, stock options back-dating, bribery, and kickbacks, contract disputes, business torts, fiduciary litigation, environmental crimes, intellectual property infringement, class actions, trade secret theft, antitrust, employment litigation, qui tam actions under the False Claims Act, and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act violations. Mr. Gadoury also has extensive experience representing clients in all sectors of the oil and gas industry, including exploration and production companies, drilling companies, oilfield equipment manufacturers, pipelines, seismic companies, and refineries. His vast experience of representation spans that of Fortune 100 companies, small businesses, individuals, and hedge funds and institutional investors with billions in assets.
Mr. Gadoury is also currently litigating various state and federal environmental cases, representing both individuals as well as state governments seeking Natural Resources Damages, involving contamination from radiation caused by radium 226, lead, arsenic, benzene, trichloroethylene (TCE), perchloroethylene (PCE), methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE), various hydrocarbons, and numerous other contaminants.
Personal Background
While in law school he served as Head Articles Editor for the Houston Journal of International Law. In 2000, he served as a Judicial Intern to the Honorable Vanessa D. Gilmore, United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas.

Representative Cases
- Representation of the Special Committee of Independent Directors of a publicly traded telecommunications company in shareholder derivative and class action litigation in New York and Delaware state courts relating to a recapitalization transaction and a going private transaction. After obtaining dismissals of all litigation in Delaware, he obtained a dismissal of all claims in the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, which reversed the trial court’s denial of the Special Committee’s motions to dismiss and for summary judgment.
- Gadoury successfully obtained a dismissal of all claims in favor of Tatsoft LLC, a software company specializing in industrial and commercial automation and processing software, and its founder, Marcos Taccolini, in litigation brought by InduSoft, Inc. involving copyright infringement, theft of trade secrets and other claims. Tatsoft LLC and Taccolini continue to pursue their counterclaims for breach of contract and business disparagement.
- He also successfully represented a publicly-traded real estate investment trust to recover its share of a $100 million “bad boy” guarantee of mezzanine debt that financed the Extended Stay America hotel chain; after obtaining a plaintiff’s summary judgment in New York State court, client obtained a confidential settlement while the case was on appeal.
- He obtained a confidential settlement on the eve of depositions for a national commercial bakery in a breach of contract, misappropriation of trade secrets, and business tort suit against a global restaurant chain in federal district court in San Diego.
- He represented an international drilling company in a breach of contract, breach of warranty, and business tort lawsuit against a large oil and gas equipment manufacturer after a $7 million deep-water drilling riser failed after fewer than 30 days of use; client obtained a substantial settlement.
- He further represented another manufacturer of oilfield equipment batteries in a misappropriation of trade secrets and breach of fiduciary duty action filed by a competitor in state district court in Fort Bend County; after client prevailed in an evidentiary temporary injunction hearing, the competitor abandoned the lawsuit.
- Gadoury represented a commercial real estate developer in a breach of contract, negligence, and business tort action against an environmental consulting firm that failed to detect substantial soil and groundwater contamination underneath a retail shopping center that included a nationwide pharmacy; developer obtained a favorable settlement that allowed it to remediate the property and recover its lost profits.
- He represented ten international institutional investors in a fraud action filed in federal court in Chicago against a $300 million hedge fund that misrepresented returns and other material terms and misappropriated investors’ funds; the district court appointed a receiver to gather all available assets for distribution to the defrauded investors.
- He represented a Houston-based towing company in a dispute with the City of Houston after the City terminated an exclusive towing contract under the City’s Safe Clear Program; after extensive meetings with the Mayor and City Attorney, the company’s towing contract was restored without the company having to file a lawsuit.
